Think it’s a quiet time at the moment in the Cumbrian property market? Think again, says BPK’s Piers Morton
As 2023 enters its final few weeks, it’s been busy in the BPK offices.
Despite endless forecasts of the market being ready to come to a halt almost, we’ve been able to sell a number of homes and help both buyers and sellers make the move they wanted in time for Christmas.
Yes, it’s that time of year when we can begin mentioning Christmas and this week alone we’ve sold three houses – meaning the buyers will be putting their decorations up in their new home. What a great feeling that will be for them.
In fact, November’s first two weeks have been so busy, they’ve already surpassed the whole of last month – which shows the Carlisle, North Cumbria and Scottish borders market remains more buoyant than many other parts of the UK.
And that’s good news if you’re thinking of putting your home on the market, especially if you choose an agent with a reputation for selling homes more quickly and still at a great price – which is what we guarantee at BPK.
‘Why miss the chance to be on Right Move on Boxing Day – the busiest day of the year?‘
So here’s my tip of the week. Last year, Right Move’s own figures showed that Boxing Day was its busiest day for people viewing homes.
That may surprise some people but that’s important information if you’re thinking of putting your home on the market in 2024. Why miss the chance to be on Right Move by Boxing Day, with possible buyers chewing over a visit to your property while they’re still nibbling on the Christmas dinner leftovers?
So, if you’re thinking about possibly marketing your home, our Cumbrian property specialists can offer a free, no obligation valuation. And we can also give advice on the benefits of preparing for sale on the run up to the festive period.
Be savvy and be ready to hit the market for the onslaught of peak viewers who start on Boxing Day to search for a new home.
